I know darthmode has custom sounds (way better than vanilla), smoke effects (seems better than NTW3 ?), AI seems pretty smart (I just looked up a couple of youtube videos of NTW3 battles where AI seems to do awkward things ?), and fire by rank seems more realistic than no fire by rank (am I right there ? I'm not a pro of this period of history). Could you give me a little bit more of details ? NTW3 has a campaign that is better than most of mods, but it is still being worked on. It has two types of multiplayer mods (classic NTW3 and regimental mode).
It focuses on Historical battles and Multiplayer battles. So things play out a bit differently, they have custom uniforms, custom sounds, custom units. NTW3 is of course much more interested in getting it right to history, or at least the feel of it.
(fire by rank, loose formations, high kill rates etc, etc.) Darthmod also doesn't have any custom skins, or as many units.
